Aims & Objectives
The Department of Urban Development was established with the motives to cater and managing the problems confronting in the following ground:
  • To provide basic amenities and facilities to urban dewellers.
  • To provide basic minimum service to slum population.
  • To construct cluster house for Below poverty Line (BPL) families.
  • To provide Low Cost House to Safai Karamcharis.To maintain and cleaning street, sector, colonies and Bazar area through sanitation driver for hygenic purpose.To manage Solid Waste & Garbages.
  • To provide infrastructure development in all urban towns for public utility.
  • Matter related to 74th Constitutional Amendment Act.
  • Augmentation of financial resources of Municipal Boards and Town Committees.
  • Matter relating to information and elections of Municipal Boards, Municipal Committee, Town Area Committee and other forms of Municipalities for town and urban areas.
