The IDSMT Scheme provide infrastructure facilities and helping in the creation of public assets in Small & Medium.
During the 10th Plan period 8 (eight) numbers of towns has been covered under the IDSMT scheme.
Under IDSMT scheme, the department has covered 16 towns till Tenth Five Year Plan. There are 12 ongoing schemes namely, IDSMT Seppa, Tezu, Changlang, Roing, Yupia, Ziro, Pasighat, Daporijo, Along, Basar, Khonsa and Deomali .The Central Share in full and Project Preparation cost of the above projects being released by Govt.of India. It is worked out that requirement of total matching State Share for 12 ongoing towns is Rs.389.24 lakhs (including Project preparation cost). Without State Share it is difficult to implement the ongoing schemes under IDSMT. Hence, the additional allocation is required to complete the ongoing projects and to achieve the target by allocating an amount to Rs 389.24 lakhs. This scheme has been discontinued on launching of JNNURM and subsumed in UIDSSMT.
